Annual review

1. What we don’t do

  • Consequently, this document does not provide advice on the following key areas of financial planning:

  • ·        General taxation;

  • ·        Insuring your home, contents, car and other asset insurance;

  • ·        Asset protection and estate planning;

  • ·        Any alternative methods of providing for retirement income, e.g. KiwiSaver Schemes and other savings.

This means the recommendations are in isolation of your other financial affairs. This may mean your other financial affairs may not integrate into the advice I provide in this document. During my advice process, I may refer to some of the above matters and offer some general comments to demonstrate the importance of integrating my advice with the above areas. These general comments should not be a substitute for you, seeking specialist advice from us or another specialist later on these topics.

2. Estate planning

§  The need to establish/finalise a Will to ensure maximum effectiveness and protection of your estate in the event of death.

§  The need to establish/finalise Guardianship of Children to ensure maximum protection of your children in the event of death.

§  The establishment of an Enduring Power of Attorney to ensure better control of your affairs in the event of incapacity.

§  The establishment or finalisation of a Trust to ensure maximum asset protection and allocation for now and generations to come.

I recommend you seek the advice of a solicitor or a Trust Company on the above matters.
